How to uninstall most recent versions of the Wyncs Browser Plug-in . . .

<%windows%> refers to the windows directory - typically c:\windows (XP); c:\winnt (Windows 2K)

Complete ALL steps . . .

You will need Administrator privileges;
Make sure any Palm Desktop software is closed;
Make sure IE is not open on a page with syncable links, (close all IE windows to be sure);
Browse to "<%windows%>\Downloaded Program Files";
Locate the [Wyncs Control] item;
Right-Click it, click properties, and make a note of the version by clicking the "Version" tab;
Close the "Properties" window;
Right-Click the [Wyncs Control] item again, and click remove;
Answer "yes" or "Ok" to any "are you sure" prompts;
IF THE VERSION WAS 4,1,0,0 OR HIGHER, COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING STEPS. . .
Click the Windows Start button and click Run...;

Enter

regsvr32 "<%windows%>\WyncsAddin.dll" -u

and click [Ok];

Click [Ok] to the resulting message (don't worry if the message is different than the example below);
Delete the "<%windows%>\WyncsAddin.dll" file.

How to minimize duplicates BEFORE upgrading the Wyncs Browser Plug-in . . .

You should make a backup of the user's Palm data by making a copy of their data directory
(usually "c:\program files\Palm\<%palm username%>").

Palm Desktop Contacts . . .
You can easily delete all contacts within a particular category. Make certain with the client that all the contacts would have originated from ScheduleStar, and not have been manually entered.

In the Palm Desktop application, view Contacts by clicking the "Contacts" button,
Select a Category from the Category Drop-down list,
Press "Ctrl-A" to select all items,
Tap the delete key.
Repeat for each category (Coaches,Officials,Students,Transportation,Opponents).

Palm Desktop Calendar . . .
The calendar is tricky because you cannot view all the events as a complete list. If the client uses the calendar exclusively for Schedule Star you can delete ALL events using method 1. Otherwise, you must manually delete the duplicates after your first synchronization with the new plugin using method 2.

Method 1, delete ALL events:

Change the system date, by setting the year far into the future,
From the Palm Desktop application, view the Calendar by clicking the "Calendar" button,
From the Menu, select [Tools] -> [Purge Events...],
Click [Ok].

Method 2, delete duplicate events (after performing a Wyncs Synchronization):

After performing a sync from SSNow, close and re-open the Palm Desktop application,
From the Menu, select [Tools] -> [Addins] -> [Delete Duplicates],
Clear ALL checkboxes,
Check the checkbox next to Calendar,
Click [Search],
Click [Details...],
Select items to delete that DO NOT have text similar to "<~62.xxxxxxxx~> in the notes,
Use the Down-Arrow to move to the next record,
At any time, or when you reach the end, Click [Ok],
important! Click [Delete].
